Resonance n.  1. The state of being resonant

2. Prolongation of a sound or musical tone by reflection

3. (My favourite) an underlying or pervasive quality of a particular type, esp. in a work of art or literature.

Dissonance n.  1. An inharmonious sound or combination of sounds

2. Any lack of harmony or agreement

3. MUSIC a chord that sounds incomplete or unfulfilled until resolved to a harmonious chord.

As I air my thots and views of what’s been going on in my life and the world around me, I hope you will find things, words, pictures, and sounds, that resonate with you.

Obviously, there will be some things you might find dissonant, that cause tension in your thoughts or how you feel. Please let me know what you are thinking. It is dissonance, whether in chord tones or in ideas, that make life so much more interesting.

You will realize that food plays a huge part in my world. . . and I will be detailing all the juicy bits and tasty morsels to add piquancy and zest to Resonance and Dissonance!
